For those of us who grew up here in San Benito County, the roadside farm stand is not just a familiar sight, it’s one of those things we feel uniquely connected to. Many of us locals have fond memories of shopping or even working at one of our county’s many farm stands. Now in all fairness, farm stands aren’t a San Benito County exclusive, California is ripe with roadside seasonal commerce. But, we do happen to think ours is among the best around. Cherries in season, strawberries, apricots, walnuts, and fresh produce of all kinds are among our bounty – we grow the best so naturally our roadside farm stands stand out from the rest when it comes to quality and flavor. If you are visiting our County, you should make a point to stop by these stands for some of the freshest, most delicious produce you’ll ever eat!

B & R Farms has grown and processed the very special Blenheim apricots on their ranch in Hollister, California since 1929. The business is still family owned and operated business with third-generation Jim Rossi and his wife Mari and son Brian. You will also see their other sons, Philip and Scott helping on the farm.

Visit Fairhaven Orchards for the finest Bing, Royal Hazel and Rainier Cherries, fresh and dried Blenheim Apricots. Family-owned and operated since 1958.

Also located in Hollister, The Farm at Bertuccios is a small town market with fresh fruit and vegetables in addition to their famous dried apricots that are tree-ripened, hand cut and sun-dried to sweet perfection! Don’t miss their chocolate-covered apricots and walnuts for an extra special treat.

Casa De Fruta is a true American success story that blossomed from the roots of an immigrant Italian family. In the 1940’s three teenage brothers opened a cherry stand on Pacheco Pass Highway. Encouraged by their mother, the young entrepreneurs expanded their operation into what it is today. From fresh and dried fruits to nuts to sweets and even wine, you won’t want to pass it up.
